  • When the farmer’s wife takes the stage, the audience laughs until her singing blows them away

    A woman’s voice blew everyone away at a singing competition in France. An old woman named Jacqueline came to act at the show. When she got on stage and said her name, the judges laughed. How often do we judge someone by how they look? Even though Jacqueline is 53 years old and not very young or well-groomed, that doesn’t mean you can’t love her work.It was funny that the judges asked Jacqueline who she was and what she did. It turned out that Jacqueline is just a regular mom and not a singer.

    She and her husband raise birds and other animals on their farm.But Jacqueline is very creative. She has loved singing since she was a child and chose to make her dream come true by singing on stage. The judges couldn’t say a word when Jacqueline started her song. She had a beautiful voice. The crowd and the judges were on the edge of their seats the whole time she performed.

    When Jacqueline sang, she had a nice high voice and a lot of soul. The cheers never stopped after she was done singing. The judges told her they were sorry for making fun of her and thanked her. They told the woman to take classes to get better and start making money singing. But Jacqueline said no. She only wanted to follow her dream, and she doesn’t want to be a singer for a living.

    The woman is good at more than just singing. She also works with stones and makes beautiful panels. Jacqueline wrote her song for her husband, who has always loved her, been there for her, and believed in her. He talked her into entering the race. Jacqueline was worried and didn’t believe in her skills, but her husband’s support gave her strength. This is how a simple farmer woman became well-known all over the land.

    Lots of news stories were written about her, and lots of people on the street got to know her. How important it is to accept people for who they are and not judge them by how they look. People with talent don’t always stand out; sometimes the smartest people are the ones who seem the least special.

  • Chris Joslin Earns Thrasher’s 2025 Skater of the Year Following El Toro NBD & Insane “G-MA” Part

    @Instagram.com/thrashermag

    Chris Joslin has been named Thrasher’s 2025 Skater of the Year and he completely earned it.

    This was a year where he went all in, took some heavy slams, came back for more, and delivered clips that people are still talking about.

    The moment that sealed it for a lot of fans was the 360 flip down El Toro.

    He did roll away the first time but ended up having his trucks broken. Instead of leaving it there, Joslin came back, dealt with the fear, and made it happen.

    Landing that trick on one of the most famous sets in skateboarding history was unreal to watch and showed how much heart he puts into his skating.

    As if that was not enough, he also handled another never been done trick on Wallenberg with a backside big flip.

    The iconic Wallenberg has shut down plenty of skaters over the years, so seeing Joslin add something new there just added to how heavy his year really was.

    The “G-MA” video part tied everything together.

    What made it hit even harder was the dedication to his grandma, who passed away this year. That personal connection gave the part real meaning and made it more than just a collection of clips.

    Joslin did not just have a good year.

    He delivered memorable skating, handled some of the toughest spots out there, and put out a part that will be replayed for a long time.

    Congrats to Joslin on Thrasher’s 2025 Skater of the Year. Very well deserved.

  • Skater Rapper BLP Kosher Urges Jewish Unity After Australia Shooting: “We Are Hated Everywhere”

    @mx.pinterest.com/enzoenzoenzoenzo; cnn.com

    Skater rapper BLP Kosher came through with some heavy words after a deadly shooting in Australia hit the Jewish community during Hanukkah.

    His message hit hard online, letting people know he’s feeling the pain and telling everyone to stay strong together.

    He posted that his heart is with people in Australia and said Jews need to stick together and never hide who they are.

    He said that “we are hated everywhere” but that love and unity are what keep people strong.

    The shooting went down in Sydney on Sunday at Bondi Beach where people had gathered for the first night of Hanukkah.

    Around a thousand people were on the grass at Archer Park when gunfire started at 6:47 p.m. Everyone panicked, running in every direction to survive.

    Police said the shooters were a father and son.

    The older guy was killed at the scene and the younger one ended up in the hospital in critical but stable condition.

    Authorities said the son was born in Australia and the father moved there in the late nineties. Investigators are still looking into why this happened.

    At least 15 people died in the attack. The victims ranged from kids to elders. A ten year old girl, a rabbi, a Holocaust survivor, and a French citizen were all taken from this world.

    One of the most gut-wrenching stories is about Alex Kleytman, a Holocaust survivor who died protecting his wife. Rabbis Eli Schlanger and Yaakov Levitan, Reuven Morrison from Melbourne, and Dan Elkayam from France were also among the dead.

    People who were there said it was a normal, happy scene before everything went wrong. Families on the grass, kids playing, music going, people in the water.

    Then gunshots rang out and everyone had to dip fast. Some thought it was fireworks at first until the chaos hit.

    Emergency crews showed up quick after the calls came in. People left shoes and bags behind running for their lives.

    Witnesses said it was wild, something you never expect to happen in a place like Australia.

    Hospitals were filled with injured people, twenty-seven still getting treated the next day. Officials said the victims included families and kids, which made the whole thing even harder to stomach.

  • Five years later and it’s all coming together. Olympian, SLS Champ, Pro. Well deserved, Ginwoo

    From the very first time we saw Ginwoo skate, it was obvious he was built different. Nearly five years ago, as a young skater coming out of Japan, he already had a bag of tricks that felt way ahead of his time. The control, creativity, and consistency he showed at such a young age immediately turned heads and made it clear this wasn’t just another talented kid—this was someone special.When Ginwoo made his first trip to the U.S. and stepped into The Berrics, he wasted no time proving it. In just a few hours, he rattled off enough tricks to fill multiple video parts, including moves that many of us had never seen done before. It wasn’t about forcing anything—everything came naturally, effortless, and precise. From that moment on, his future in skateboarding felt inevitable.Fast forward to today, and that early promise has fully turned into reality. Ginwoo is now an Olympian, an SLS Champion, and has officially turned Pro for JART Skateboards, celebrating the moment with a brand-new video part. Each milestone represents years of hard work, progression, and staying true to his style.Watching Ginwoo grow from a young prodigy into one of the most exciting skateboarders in the world has been incredible. We’re proud to see everything he’s earned, and even more excited to see where he takes it next. This is only the beginning.

  • Electronic Arts’ Future Could Face Challenges as Saudi Investment Slows Down

    Credit:  EA skate.; britannica.com

    Electronic Arts might be in for some changes as Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund slows down its big spending.After years of dropping serious cash on technology, entertainment, and  gaming, the fund has told its partners it cannot put out huge amounts of money right now.As we previously reported Electronic Arts has agreed to a $55 billion sale involving Silver Lake, Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund, and other investors. This high-profile deal represents one of the biggest acquisitions in the gaming industry in recent years.However, with reports that Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund is slowing down its spending and reassessing its financial commitments, this deal might also be affected.That is unusual for a fund that normally moves fast and makes big investments.A lot of this comes down to projects that have been running into problems.According to reports, Neom, the massive city project, has hit delays and cost issues, and a big chunk of the fund’s over one trillion dollars in assets is tied up in projects that are hard to sell.With less liquid cash available, the fund is taking a step back from new global investments.Even though PIF still has about sixty billion in cash and similar assets, experts say it might not be enough to go all-in on risky bets. At the same time, the fund is still very involved in gaming.It is part of the fifty-five billion dollar deal to buy Electronic Arts with Silver Lake and Affinity Partners, expected to wrap up in early 2027.EA Skate, one of the games fans are hyped for, could feel some of these effects. Big releases like EA Skate rely on solid backing for development, updates, and marketing.Online skate shopSlower funding might mean delays in features or campaigns, but it does not mean the game is off the table. The project is still in motion, but timelines could shift.The fund is already deep in the gaming world with Scopely through Savvy Games Group and stakes in Take-Two, Nintendo, Capcom, Nexon, Embracer, and several esports ventures. That makes it a major player, and its decisions shape how games get made and reach players.On top of that, we also reported that the Saudi Minister wants to host the Olympics. That could be affected too, since hosting the games will cost a lot of money.With PIF tightening its spending and costs rising for global projects, both massive events like the Olympics and high-profile gaming releases like EA Skate might face delays or slower rollouts.Even with spending cuts and write-downs hitting other mega-projects, PIF is not stepping away from the gaming sector.For Electronic Arts, keeping projects like EA Skate on track will require careful planning.Gamers should expect updates and releases, but some of the timing might shift as the company adjusts to the new funding pace. The excitement around EA Skate is still strong, but the road ahead could be a little slower while cash flow gets sorted out.

  • Skater Rapper MGK Officially Funds $250K Skatepark for Cleveland’s East Side

    @Instagram.com/tallywood

    East Side skaters are about to get a dope new spot thanks to hometown rapper and skater MGK.

    Luke Easter Park is getting a 10,000 square-foot skatepark, and MGK, real name Colson Baker, is dropping $250,000 of his own cash to make it happen.

    The full project is $1.3 million, and the city is teaming up with the Skatepark Project and even chasing a $500,000 state grant.

    Baker hit up the city earlier this year saying he wanted to do something for the Southeast Side, and after talking with locals and the Skatepark Project crew, they settled on Luke Easter as the perfect spot.

    Right now Cleveland only has one big public skatepark downtown at Crooked River, so this is a huge W for the East Side. The new park is gonna sit by the restrooms and parking lot, next to Zelma George Rec Center, and it’s set to open August 2027.

    City Council already signed off on MGK’s donation, and with the Skatepark Project chipping in $50,000 and the city throwing $500,000 in, it’s moving fast.

    Alexandria Nichols, the Parks Director, said they hope people come through from all over and that it can even host events. Last August, Street League Skateboarding had a competition at North Coast Yard during “MGK Day weekend,” showing the city is already hyped for skating and music mixing together.

    cleveland.com posted:

    “The new skatepark would be built at Luke Easter Park, with a tentative opening date in August 2027. MGK, whose real name is Colson Baker, is donating $250,000 toward the $1.3 million project through his philanthropic foundation.
    City spokesman Tyler Sinclair said Baker approached Cleveland earlier this year wanting to collaborate on a project on the Southeast Side. With help from the Skate Park Project, a foundation tied to skater Tony Hawk, they met with residents and decided on a new skate park at Luke Easter.
