Chris Joslin has been named Thrasher’s 2025 Skater of the Year and he completely earned it.
This was a year where he went all in, took some heavy slams, came back for more, and delivered clips that people are still talking about.
The moment that sealed it for a lot of fans was the 360 flip down El Toro.
He did roll away the first time but ended up having his trucks broken. Instead of leaving it there, Joslin came back, dealt with the fear, and made it happen.
Landing that trick on one of the most famous sets in skateboarding history was unreal to watch and showed how much heart he puts into his skating.
As if that was not enough, he also handled another never been done trick on Wallenberg with a backside big flip.
The iconic Wallenberg has shut down plenty of skaters over the years, so seeing Joslin add something new there just added to how heavy his year really was.
The “G-MA” video part tied everything together.
What made it hit even harder was the dedication to his grandma, who passed away this year. That personal connection gave the part real meaning and made it more than just a collection of clips.
Joslin did not just have a good year.
He delivered memorable skating, handled some of the toughest spots out there, and put out a part that will be replayed for a long time.
Congrats to Joslin on Thrasher’s 2025 Skater of the Year. Very well deserved.
